Everyone should go check out this show..I designed the lights for it and the show itself is really good:

Tuesday , by Paul Mullin
March 20th through Wednesday, April 18th

Performances Tuesday and Wednesday nights at 730pm
Tickets $10 general, $7 students/seniors through BPT

It's another day in the life of Audie McCall; no ordinary thing, since every day in Audie's life is, in a way, a life in itself. Audie suffers from Korsakoff 's Syndrome, a rare form of amnesia that causes him to forget everything he knows about himself every time he falls asleep. So this Tuesday morning, just like every morning, his doctors must painstakingly re-teach him every detail of his existence. Through the course of the day, using ruthless psychodrama and insidious metaphysics, they reveal the events that brought him to the fateful night he lost his life story and the humanity the rest of us take for granted. Tuesday will be presented at the Gail Stellner Studio at the Capitol Hill Arts Center (1621 12th Ave, Capitol Hill, Seattle)

tickets on sale through BPT

I am a d20

You are the large, round, friendly d20! (You probably didn't know this, but the shape of the twenty-sided die is called an Icosahedron.) You are the friendly, outgoing, outspoken, leader of friends. You are often looked up to, even though you don't normally deserve it. Most other types secretly wish they were you, and you'd give them tips on how, if only you had a clue yourself. Your charisma is often all you need, but you have your occasional moments of brilliance as well--just never when it's actually needed. You are the all-around good guy, a dependable chum, a respectable foe, and an inspiration to those who need one. Who says you can't get by on a smile and good looks alone?

This survey is completely scientific. Despite the mind-boggling complexity of mankind, the billions of distinctly different personalities found on Earth can easily be divided into seven simple categories that correspond to the five Platonic solids, a pseudo polyhedron, and whatever the hell a d100 is. The results of this quiz should be considered not only meaningful but also infallible, and pertinent to your success as a fully realized individual. If you feel the results of this examination do not match your perceived personality, you should take whatever drastic measures are needed to cram your superego back into proper alignment, as described by the quiz results.

And if you believe that, we have some really great critical-hit insurance to sell you.

Take the quiz at dicepool.com

So Christmas is almost upon us and because the universe is funny I have been sick as a dog since Sunday. Didn't work Monday...went in Tuesday afternoon and was able to make it for 5 hours, didn't go in yesterday and only made it for about 5 hours today before I started feeling like I was going to fall over...one of my co-workers kept referring to me as "the plague"...I asked if she meant Black Death or another plague, she said she hadn't decided...I told her I'd rather have consumption.

Oh the joys of the holidays. I think I'd be less bitter about this if it were a new experience but I often get sick around the holidays...my mom (and other people I know) seem to think it has something to do with being stressed out/having a lot going on and then relaxing which gives my body the opportunity to get sick. Possibly true but what the hell am I supposed to do about it?

Anywho....in my feverish-drug induced state yesterday I started thinking more about the previously alluded to possibility of moving away to somewhere like DC to pursue theatre. Ok well I've actually been thinking about that A LOT but specifically yesterday (again in my drug-induced state) I started thinking about what I would miss if I moved away. There's the obvious/no-brainer stuff like my friends, my parents, my niece & nephew, etc. but then the mind started to wander and I was thinking of things specific to here that isn't about people...like Golden Gardens Park I would miss a lot and GasWorks...not as much as GG but I'd miss it. And that got me wondering what other people love about Seattle...specifically what would you miss if you moved? So if anyone wants to kill sometime feel free to share your favorite things/spots.

I'm making this a public post (which I never do) so I'm also screening comments. And now that I've been upright for a good 2 hours I'm going to go collapse in bed again.

While I don't have a lot of faith that it will do any good, I figured I would post this link to the HRC's action website campaign to urge Senators to oppose John Roberts Supreme Court Confirmation. I urge everyone to take the 3 minutes it takes to fill this out...cuz that man scares the bejezzus out of me and I would imagine any remotely liberal/open minded person.

So this song just came on my Launch radio station and it made me all sorts of happy. I so LOVED the movie and the song when I was a kid.

Invincible (Theme From "The Legend Of Billie Jean")
by Pat Benatar

This bloody road remains a mystery
This sudden darkness fills the air
What are we waiting for?
Won’t anybody help us?
What are we waiting for?
We can’t afford to be innocent
Stand up and face the enemy
It’s a do or die situation
We will be invincible

This shattered dream you cannot justify
We’re gonna scream until we’re satisified
What are we running for?
We’ve got the right to be angry
What are we running for?
When there’s no where we can run to anymore

We can’t afford to be innocent
Stand up and face the enemy
It’s a do or die situation
We will be invincible
And with the power of conviction
There is no sacrifice
It’s a do or die situation
We will be invincible

Won’t anybody help us?
What are we running for?
When there’s no where, no where we can run to anymore

We can’t afford to be innocent
Stand up and face the enemy
It’s a do or die situation
We will be invincible
And with the power of conviction
There is no sacrifice
It’s a do or die situation
We will be invincible
